If anyone has a source, I'd love to be privvy to know. I miss what I used to get from Sunshine dairy. Such a shame as I felt good to provide for the honest, family farmer.

Default Raw milk in Santa Fe?

I thought retail sales of raw milk was legal in NM. Does anyone know where I could purchase some raw dairy products in town?

Thanks!

Get in touch with La Montanita Co-op, a great local food store that's big on organic and local products. If they don't carry what you are looking for I'll bet they could turn you on to sources that do.
Also, a friend of mine milks goats at a nearby goat farm cooperative; she uses the milk to make cheese, but don't know that you couldn't milk the goats yourself a couple of times a week and use the milk any way you want to.

The Old Windmill Dairy in Estancia sells raw milk at the Eldorado Farmers Market (not allowed to at the Santa Fe one, if I remember correctly, because the milk comes from cows they don't own). Anyway, I have several friends who buy directly from them in the offseason. Here's the link if you want to contact them.

Award Winning New Mexico Goat Cheese

I've bought their milk a few times and it is amazing. Simply awesome. And it makes the best cheese, too.

Edited to add: The link shows up as 'award winning goat cheese' but they sell both goat and cow's milk. Just FYI.

Great, thanks so much! La Montanita does not carry any as far as I could see, when I checked.

Try the Saturday farmer's market down in the railroad yard. I think I saw some there today. It could have been goat's milk.
