Ok, ok enough is enough. Cold, very windy and snowing
here in Fence Lake.
Had to bring in the hanging baskets, and the humming bird feeder needs warm water to keep from freezing.

Come on sun...

Hi Hunter.

We were out in your neck of the woods a few days ago...beautiful country you live in.

There was an inch of snow covering everything in Gallup when we got up on Friday morning, snow at Zuni, and eastward almost to Grants.

Been having flurries here in Santa Fe yesterday and today also ...and (brrrr) cold temperatures. I'm worried about damage to flowering fruit trees and tender perennials just coming up.

Towanda is right. That part of Cibola county is beautiful.

For the last couple days those mountain passes north of where Hunter is at got the chain law slapped on them. That's ok, Silverton is used to it. They still have three feet of snow on the ground!

Granted, this weather does have me scratching my head. In my area we won't hit 70 degrees till Wednesday! Grr!!

I left CO on the 22nd, with light snow on the ground, 29 degrees.

I hated to leave!

Are you talking Silverton, CO? Isn't that a pretty good little run (like about 300 miles) from Cibola County in NM?

Yeah it is pretty crazy, It was snowing in Highrolls last night around 10ish. Driving up to Cloudcroft at that time, I had to slow down to see the road it was coming down so hard at points.

A good 250 anyway, yea. When I think of that end of Colorado, I think of New Mexico (at least from the standpoint of media). The reason being they get New Mexico television programming in Durango, Cortez, and Pagosa. I lived for a time in Durango in the late 60's, and worked a short time there on construction in 1978. Back then they didn't get Coloardo tv programming at all. Finally cable came in, and the FCC made some sort of arrangement to get Denver news on 5 p.m. broadcasts. 10 p.m. broadcasts are still KOB, KRQE, and KOAT only. Going a tad off topic here-sorry Poncho!

Where in Colorado were you Cathy? Durango? Pagosa? The reason I'm asking is they are going to get snow tonight in Pagosa, probably Durango as well.
