How do I know if it's Mid City or Uptown or neither? How's that area like?

Technically neither. That is a long street that runs through a few neighborhoods: Tulane/Gravier, Treme, 7th, 8th and 9th Wards. I don't think any part of that street is what I would consider "nice" except right where it crossed Esplanade, although some spots are "okay".

The Mid-City boudaries are pretty acurate, but for Uptown people have different definitions. When most people say "Uptown", they are refering to a larger area comprising of Milan, Touro, Uptown, East/West Riverside & Audubon. Black Pearl, East Carrollton & Leonidas are what people refer to as "Carrollton"
