I was in the shelter 1 year 3 months before I received my referral. However, I got the letter that my priority changed to N0, W1 February 6, 2015 and even though I have contacted DHS and NYCHA I am still here in the shelter. No answers to my inquiries, nothing. I no longer have a housing specialist, all 3 I've had either left or were fired and I am not getting any help. There are 20 people that got their letters from NYCHA, before and after me, and no one has had an interview, contact or moved. It is now September.
I hope they are faster and more helpful to you then they have been to me and my family. I wish you luck.

I wanted to know are you so in the shelter waiting because I'm certified for the bronx borough list and been waiting for 3 months.
I have a domestic violence situation I'm currently in the shelter with my six year old daughter who has mental issues and I'm certified for a 2-bedroom in the Bronx I've been waiting for 4 months to be called for an apartment how long does it take somebody please let me know any information you can thank you
I'm still in a shelter dhs made me N0 a few weeks ago i just got certified for No even tho i was already certified for N1 is been 16-17 months since i been certified for N1 i wanna know how much longer i gotta wait. Ugh
I applied for NYCHA 9/2016. I was called in for an interview 12/10/2017. I was certified for a 3 bedroom on 12/13/2017. I'm currently on the Bronx Borough wide waiting list with a N0 W0 prefence. I wonder how long this part of the process will take. Has there been any progress? Anyone know where I can find the waiting list for a 3 bedroom in the Bronx?
