Well I got in touch with HDC and they told me I am in fact a part-time student and they are waiting to continue with my file once MHANY approves it (they rejected me for "full-time student" and I am in the appeal process now).

HDC told me to not worry because if my appeal is denied I can appeal directly with them.

Anyway, the manager there seems to think full-time student is defined by any student that attends college for more than 5 months in a year, regardless if you were part-time of full-time in those semesters. But, the true definition is a student who is enrolled full-time for 5 or more months, and I was only ever enrolled part-time. Mind you, they had all the proof they could need from my school showing I was part-time.

Unbelievable, but thankfully HDC is aware and cleared any doubts I had.

Not sure if anyone else got this today, but I received a "waitlist" notification ... even after touring an apartment earlier last month.

@brooklyn11216 You had a log number in the 9xx range and still got a waitlist notification? That's crazy! What income band did you qualify under?

Had the first interview back in July. I had to submit more documents after the interview and I did but they kept saying they didn’t receive them. They realized a month or two later that they did😪😪😪😪

Those who received waitlist emails - could you please clarify your income bands and CB or other preferential status?
