If you're a full-time student, you won't qualify for most affordable housing projects.

It seems they give preferences to couples, I'm single applied to many last two years, not a single call back.

They're not allowed to give preference to couples, though some of the agencies are so bad at their jobs I wouldn't be stunned to learn that some were doing it without permission.

I've gotten many, many calls as a singleton--literally every place I've applied except one. It's just very competitive unless you're in the 165% band.

I have gotten many calls too as a single in the 120-130% band. Took a pass on all of them except for the one I just moved into.

If your tax return and gross income from the previous year were inflated by one time bonuses due to the big tax reformation, but current pay stubs reflect current earnings within the guidelines, what are chances of being approved?

The letter from your HR department is what they will then look at.
