I accepted but someone ahead of me took it. I am estimating about at least 15k for renovations for that apartment, the condition it was in was just that bad. It was the smaller one bed with a tiny french balcony. I am thinking once I get in, I will need to apply for the internal list to switch to a bigger one bed apartment (with a bigger balcony). The nieghborhood however, is great! 10 min walk to the dumbo waterfront, lots of restaurants and markets.

Yes, it's for the 2019 list, my log number is low.

Single-digit or double-digit log number? Just so we know where we stand.

The building needs renovation from the lobby to the hallways so there will definitely be a maintenance increase coming soon. They are currently moving really slow, 1 apartment to the external waitlist since January and nothing since. It is probably because they offer vacant apartments to the internal waitlist first so the nice renovated ones are snapped up.
What were the condition of the elevators? Did they look modern? I'm curious.

Good question about elevators. My non blogging friend is tired of the walk up. Bad elevators are a concern.

Has anyone visited the Cadman Towers on-site publicly posted waitlist list recently? Has it been updated for 2022?

From their website:

As of December 2021, for a one bedroom apartment we currently are up to log number 27 (on the 2019 waiting list).

As of December 2021, for a two bedroom apartment we are currently up to log number 473 (on the 2010 waiting list).

Thank you! Do we have any idea how many one-bedrooms are vacated within one year? I'm thinking not too many.

Thanks. I wonder if number 27 was a Veteran, and if any Veterans remain on that 2019 list.
Mitchell-Lama Connect does not have these updates yet. The two pages are run by different organizations so that is understandable.

Hard to find that data. Seems like almost none in 2020 and 2021, but C19 might have influenced that.

According to floor plans of the towers, one tower has four one-bedrooms per floor, the other five one-bedrooms per floor.

Thanks! I’m around number 200 on the 2019 one-bedroom list, so based on what you’re saying, which I agree with, it sounds like a long wait. Good luck to those ahead of me!
