We are about 12 behind Dreamernyc and we were informed by mail that we were actually 80 on the waitlist even though online waitlist had indicated we were mid 100's.
My PS friend says they may call up to 50 people at a time to see apts, so we may be called in the next few rounds. we have requested 2 bedroom no pref. Will keep everyone informed if/when we get called.
yea, we're on the 2 bedroom no pref list. all three 3 apartments were 'no balcony'. The letter we received said we have 2xth choice of the apartments. so i really doubt we're get in this round. but at least it was hope that the list was moving and that it'll come sooner than later.

Thanks for letting us know about your waitlist number vs. the actual number. Great to see that the list is moving even though they haven't updated it on the PS site.

If anyone on the studio list receives a letter, can you please let us know about how many spots you moved?
The website has not been updated for 7 months, and that's the only way we have of knowing unless we get a letter.

Thanks so much!

Does anyone have contact info for the company doing the lottery? I made a mistake on my application and want to correct it.

Not everyone gets an interview.

It depends on your log number and whether you're in one of the preference groups or not.

For instance, if you are mobility disabled or vision or hearing impaired, you would be one of the first people called, IF you have a low enough log number.

Also, if you currently live within Manhattan Community Board 6, you would be called in the first batch. Also for city workers.

Thanks for replying.

My question was " what is the timeline ?" usually after how many months when the lottery is closed, can one expect to receive an eligibility appointment ?

Just so we know if we can still hope, or if we should give up.

Thanks for any insight.

PS: of course, I know that there is no rule. Every timelines depend on the development project, but I'm just wondering about estimate of what others may have experienced before.

There is an official timeline, but most often, it's disrupted by one thing or another.

Construction delays cause the most problems. If the building doesn't get its certificate of occupancy on time, it throws the whole process out of whack.

Other issues crop up too. In one case recently, the city withheld the developer's tax abatement, and the developer sued.

You can imagine what delays that caused for everyone anxiously waiting!

Here is the official timeline, published in the Marketing Guidelines. Turn to page 7.

https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/hpd/down...g-handbook.pdf

As you can see, it's all based on date of occupancy.

For anyone involved in this process, I recommend downloading the the PDF and reading it!

For a friend of mine who was called for a building in 2015, it was pretty fast. She received a letter and email in late May, interviewed a week or two later, and she signed a lease Sept. 1. She had community board preference.

But many people wait much much longer.

Thanks much Macnyc2003,

I read the handbook, it's a load of useful info in there.
I'm also curious about other people experiences in real life ..
not sure if lottery winner really kept track of their timeline .. couldn't find it anywhere, with precise dates..
