Where are the two new buildings? The only one I know of is the one DreamerNYC is describing. Where is the other one? The building on Eighth Avenue and 24th is a senior residence, and that is not on Penn South property.

I would like to see a studio. There's one video on Youtube but it's really dark.

Those new building are NOT part of Penn South. You will not be able to transfer to those new buildings. You have to transfer to a Penn South Building.

Also try to change the mentality that stuff is just stuff and how much do you really need. You will be living in a neighborhood where anything and everything you could need is walkable.

I lived in a 250 sq ft studio before. Had a Bed/sofa/table. You can fit more than you think.

I suspect they may be referring to the Fulton and Chelsea-Elliot NYCHA housing that will be built nearby.

Penn South studio E line, not yet restored. But you can get an idea of the size. Also, this video is from 10 years ago. Nowadays, before you see an apartment, usually it has been fixed up quite a bit, with new or refinished floors, and cabinets. The bathrooms are also fixed up or redone. And the hallways are not lime green.

Ohh you’re probably right. Good luck to the original OP if that they’re plan.

Outside of the 10 year old video - somewhere in this 2019 forum but I don’t remember which page (bc it literally took me hours to read through it all) - but someone posted pics of the studio that has the kitchen with two doorways and a balcony. But it’s my understanding that type of studio is almost never offered to people on the external list.

Yes, I remember the person who got such an amazing choice of studios. Even though she didn't end up with the humongous terrace—and I was shocked she actually got to view one—she did get a balcony, as you saw!

On the other hand, the two friends I know who saw studios got to see only the E line or something even smaller. (The E studio is considered to be two and a half room. A veritable palace!)

Brooklynkia, did you think reading this entire thread was worthwhile?

And if that wasn't enough excitement for you, here's a link to the "lost" 2014 PS lottery thread! If I'm curious, I like to click on a poster's name and Find all posts. Then I can see if the person ever got an apartment or not!

Hey @beltedscrap what list are you on? I am on the 219 2 bedroom list and hardly ever see any movement. What year list are you on and what number are you? Thanks! Very exciting!
