Hey everyone! I am starting a little research project in hopes of increasing transparency surrounding log number processing by housing lottery marketing agencies. What I’m aiming to do is collect data to build a google doc ( that can help applicants better understand where they stand throughout the process.
If you feel comfortable sharing, I’m looking to collect any/ all of the following data for those who landed apartments, for those who were not called back, and for those who were deemed ineligible:
1. Building name
2. Log Number (Can be written anonymously ie: 4,xxx or 4,5xx)
3. Preferences (CB, disability, MP)
4. AMI
5. Household Size
6. Marketing Agency
Knowledge is power! Let’s do this!

I'll start:
1. 187 Kent - 2,xxx, CB, 80% AMI, Household: 2, Reside, Called back/ in que for processing
2. Waterline Square Phase II - #30,xxx, No pref, Household: 2, No call back
3. The Milo - #11,xxx, CB, Household: 2, No call back
4. Sione - #70,xxx, No pref, Household: 2, No call back
5. 144-146 West Street - #7,xxx, CB, Household: 2, No call back
**I left out AMI for some of these apartments because I applied even though I was ineligible. (My thought was: I'd like to throw my hat in the ring in case they changed the income guidelines later)

I added a link to the chart in this post, but if anyone has any suggestions for the most convenient/ easily accessible option for me to pin or link it to this thread, please advise Thanks!
Do you want us to use the link or type it in the forum?
I'm thinking for now it would be best to either post in the forum or to direct message me because I just want to make sure it doesn't accidentally get messed up or tampered with. I'm definitely open to suggestions, though!
Thank you so much! I'm putting together an updated spreadsheet with another person from this forum who specializes in data analysis! It will be even more comprehensive than the one linked above (with proper stats and a better layout). It still needs a bit of work but I can't wait to share it with you all!
I can pm you all the data points you’re asking for but I’m concerned that your analysis won’t actually help with transparency because of a few variables. ie DHS referrals that don’t have a log # but can be inserted in any of the preferences they qualify for. Individuals who have rental vouchers that bypass AMI’s and minimum incomes. (they have a better chance of being selected as long as their voucher covers the rent). There’s another refferal that bypasses log numbers and takes a spot from preferences due to governmental displacement but I don’t know how common that is.
2346 prospect Ave log # 4*** CB the won apartment. Stay for a year then got called for
Cooper garden #4*** CB had to appeal but overall won that apartment as well.
I have been selected for a lot apartment then denied due to annual income. I’ll check my email to retrieve the development and log number.
