This is a ridiculous situation, that the site doesn't give people their log numbers, a crucial factor in this process.
And it's even more amazing that the old site managed to do it! It didn't have the bells and whistles, but people need log numbers more than photos and floor plans (although those are nice to have too).
I was not a fan of Mayor Bloomberg, but I think the tech aspects of NYC did work a lot better.
The new site actually feels like a down grade from the old site certain ways. The pictures don't load half the time, the site is slow and there are no visible log numbers. Knowing that the log numbers were released regularly helped me stay motivated to visit the site at least bi-monthly and continue to apply.
I received a documentation request email by a housing connect email to upload documents to the website but do not see a log number in the email nor on the website. I only see a very long Lottery Application Number.
