Congratulations on your new apartment!!!! If you don't mind, could you walk us through the entire process? Did you have to hand in first month and security at one time? Does the management company give you a choice in the apartment?

Thank you very much !! No problem I will definitely share my experience and timeline for the whole process . I received my first email on 11/23 from the management company requesting further documentation to confirm my eligibility it gave me until 11/30 to turn in all documents requested . I had the option of turning the documents in person or submitting them online I chose to go in person I live down the block from the office where I could bring in the documents ( I preferred to bring in person just in case I had any questions ) I dropped the documents off and filled out the application again the same one on the housing connect website . I was told if they needed anything else they would be in contact . About a week later I received a email requesting further documentation this documentation was different it was actually cash app deposits made in to my account within the last 6 months . I had to explain what each payment was for most of it was my friends sending me money paying me back for things etc ... I also had to screen shot my cash app balance and forward it to them ( I guess this is to confirm I have no extra income) Fast forward all the way until January I didn’t hear anything from management at all which made me nervous. Then finally January 15 I received a call from management asking if I was interested I said yes the lady over the phone then listed all the apts she had available in my income bracket she listed all studios and 1 bedrooms I said you don’t have any 2 bedrooms left ( I applied for me and my 10 year old ) she said I don’t think you you meet the income for that and I said you sure I did the calculations she said she would call
Me back in 5 min she called me back and said yes we have one more 2 bedroom in your income bracket (thank god ) that Friday she said she was sending
My paper work to the city for final approval and I would know within 5 buisness and January 25 I got the magic call !!! I was approved and I signed my lease that Thursday the 28 !!
