Interesting question! I searched but couldn’t find anything either. I would think 500 + which is what usual lottery one bedrooms go for. I saw that the rent starts at 3800+ for a studio so it can’t be that small.

This joint is fancy, but that stretch right there is...a wee bit grimy. The BK criminal court is right there, and the associated cut-rate lawyers, bail bondsmen, etc.

Probably they only were planning on offering a handful of studios to begin with, and you lose less converting a studio to affordable than a 1-bed or more, so...

I applied. Looks like a very nice building. Location is awesome too in terms of convenience.

This building was on Million Dollar Listing NY last week, Ryan Serhant had the listings for the building but in the episode the developer was thinking (at the time) of converting the project to rentals and Ryan was freaking out. We obviously know what happened (and Serhant is not the building agent now that it's rentals) but still funny to see that on TV.

Yeah, I think since studios don't give as big of a return, they just make all of them part of the affordable pool - in my building all the studios are affordables only - I suspect when the building was originally supposed to be 50-50 affordable/market that some studios would be market but they decided to make all the studios part of the affordable pool when the deal was struck to increase the affordable % to 80% of the building.

I can't imagine them having any studio condos originally... so I wonder if they changed the layout last minute to convert some multi-beds into 1 less bedroom and more studios.
I also wonder about noise level in this area.

This building is still finishing up and nobody is in yet, so it's going to be a little while I think.

For move-ins sure, but they told me themselves the lottery will be processed in August. So let's see if they stick to their forecast.
