I was just approved by HPD yesterday and I'm one person. The process for ME was quick and smooth. My story goes like this:
Applied: 07.01.21 Received Log #3***: 10/17/21 Contacted: 01.05.22 Uploaded Docs to HC: 01.05.22 Dropped Docs off to the office: 01.06.22 Emailed Docs: 01.07.22 View Apartment: 01.14.22 Submitted More Docs: 01.18.22 Final Docs sent to HPD: 01.20.22 HPD Approval: 01.24.22

Thank you y’all are really giving me hope. I was getting depressed because this one lottery in particular hasn’t even contacted me. I had a relatively low log number and CB and ME preference. It’s very frustrating because you see all the threads about people getting contacted and I’ve never heard back from any marketing reps.

What AMI are you applying for? I find that the lower the AMI the more competition there is no what matter household size you are.
I think speed helps of submission LennyG, but at the end of the day i think it still matters if someone in the log number below you submits. i followed up on the docs i submitted for the same lottery half a business day after the emails went out and they still haven't viewed my docs. I followed up after a week and they said they are reviewing documents based on log number order and have to wait until they get to my log number :/ didn't reference submitting documents at different times
