Yes! She also mention how the 125-130% AMI aren’t filling up , it’s a lot of 80%. We really connected me and the interviewer so I don’t think she was lying about that AMI range due to people not even making that much. So I do believe you have a high chance. I really do. I still have faith for everyone in this chat because you really never know.

Hi everyone-im new this forum and to the lottery process. I have a log # of 2×× with MC preference and based on the income chart would be eligible for 80%AMI. I havent been contacted yet for documents or anything. I have been checking my spam, voicemail and the website regularly. Seems like higher log numbers have already been contacted. Is anyone else experiencing this or know why this may be?

They might be working in batches and taking care of people with CB preference first.

Hi Kimberly!

I was just as confused as you when I first joined the forum but after tons of research and reading the HPD Handbook, outreach is as follows:

1. Disability Set-Asides (Mobility & Vision/Hearing)
2. CB Preference
3. Municipal Employee Preference
4. General Population
5. The homeless if there are leftover units (not always the case but there's been an increase in this occurring)

In some cases, the agency will contact higher log numbers for units with AMIs that are hard to fill (i.e 125-130% AMI) at the same time as lower ones (60-80% AMIs) if there are not enough high-earning people with preferences that applied to the lottery.

You have an amazing log number and if there are any 80% AMI units available after the 50% CB preference is filled, you will be next in line to be contacted! Don't give up hope or be stressed about not being contacted yet. I was the same until I read some other encouraging posts in this forum. If it's meant to be, it'll happen!

Some great educational resources to dive into in the meantime:

Thought it might be helpful for everyone to gauge unit availability for each preference tier!

Total Units Available: 124

5% Mobility: 6
2% Vision/Hearing: 3
50% Community Board Resident: 62
5% NYC Employee: 6
38% General Population: 47

I am slow when it comes to Math (blush) My log is 12,423 ( this log number makes me cringe!!) and I qualify for hearing and CB. I wonder, where I would fall in these numbers you posted for each category? I qualify for a one-bedroom and studio btw. :-)
