I did appeal and complain but both were rejected.

I was emailed about being selected for this building by iafford and reached out to iafford about there being no option to upload docs on housing connect but haven’t heard anything back yet. Does anyone know what’s up with that?

Not sure same thing happened for me. I’m CB log #15xxx. Have you emailed them?

Hi all, just figured I’d add a data point. I *live* in the building since November and I, too received one of these emails… as did at least one of my neighbors who moved in around the same time I did. So it seems that iAfford most definitely screwed up somewhere. If I had to guess, I’d say they sent out a blanket email to everyone who applied, even those who have already moved in.

Also worth noting that the number of apartments on offer that they list in their email from Friday is the ORIGINAL number of apartments, not what they currently have; right now they only have 3 studios and 57 2-bedrooms available (source: their Instagram, see here: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cu2whUWPmYd/?img_index=1).

Thank you for this inside info! I wonder if it’s a thing where they emailed all the pending applications? Or preferences? Seems like a bit of overkill to me to message every single person that applied. But what do I know? I’m definitely just speculating here

Same boat as everyone above. log #16,xxx with CB. Got an email from Afford NY (got my hopes up) and have not been able to get in contact by phone or email despite numerous attempts. On a side note I visited the building on Saturday and it looks almost completely empty.

No idea, the pending applications idea makes sense though, just very confused why they would include people who are already living there lol. I hope this is resolved for all of you soon, I can’t imagine how frustrating this is

Not sure what building you visited but it’s certainly not “almost completely empty”. there are 200-something units in total and about 60 empty, if the numbers are true. It definitely does not feel empty, either lol.

Received email also with no way to contact back. Just waiting.

Also quick question for those still living there, would you happen to know if 1BR are still available? How was utility monthly fee as well? Is heating electric or steam? Thanks for answering. It seems most are happy with the building.

They mentioned they only had 1 studio and 50 2 bedrooms available…
