My friend lives in the 123 Melrose St and the location is really bad imo.
His unit is nice but the building itself has a questionable variety of residents.
For example, I saw a guy walking a pet pig in the lobby and I couldn't help but laugh.
I had the same thought, It is definitely the Denizen. Or, the "hipster hotel' as my partner and I call it. He toured that building several years ago and hearing about someone walking a pet pig doesn't surprise me! lol. Saying that, I don't think there's anything wrong with the area, especially. I live on the other side of Bushwick and it is fine these days in terms of safety. Only annoying thing is aforementioned high hipster levels, lol. There are lots of people who are very full of themselves around.
I think some buildings want to semi-hide the lottery from market rate tenants so use the address rather than building name in the lottery process so those paying market rate don;'t feel ripped off.
Didn’t care for this since it was a waitlist but i got 10,xxx lol
