Hi!

So sorry if there is another thread that answers this question but I just want to know what you think my chances are. I received a log number of 1xx with cb preference for a building with a very small number of units. I think something like 6 or 7. I have never been contacted before so do not want to get my hopes up! Let me know your thoughts

What AIM? if 130% I'd say you probably have a good chance of being contacted. I'm 130% and I've been contacted several times for buildings with fewer than 10 units with numbers in the several hundreds and even over 1000. It depends a lot on AMI and the desirability of the building + location.

With CB too, your changes are still quite good even at a lower AMI.

Thanks for your response! I am actually in the 80% Ami so only qualify for 2 units! Keeping my fingers crossed though

Default Wait and See. Don’t be in a Hurry

Does your household size match all the units? Is it all the same AMI%? This matters. Maybe all the log #s less than 1xx with cb preference are not trying for the same size and/or AMI% unit that you want.

Just wait and see. Because, even if you were log# 1 with cb preference you would still have to wait. Don’t be in a hurry because if you get a unit it doesn’t necessarily mean that you will get it this month or in July.

Unfortunately, there is not a regular way to know what the lowest log# is with cb preference. Your 1xx might be the lowest log# with cb preference. We don’t know.

Many qualified applicants don’t move forward with their log#s. We can hope there are some of them that are lower

Don’t withdraw. Just wait and see. Submit requested paperwork because you might get it, and if you don’t it’s good practice for the next lottery, you will learn about the process, it will be easier next time.

I heard of a application with a high 1xx with cb preference in a lottery for about dozen units. It’s been more than a year but it seems likely they will get an offer.

Thanks so much ! You’re right I’m just not going to think about it and if it works out great, if not maybe next time! I am in 80% Ami so only two units match my household!

Gotcha. I'd say you still have a great shot. Like other said, MANY people don't respond or decline at some point. You have a great log + CB, you have good chances but it is best to just not think about it too much and just wait and see. The suspense is the worst part of this process but its worth it in the end! Good luck!
