Nycha problem (apartment, lease, move)

Is anybody else having trouble with Nycha I signed my lease November 2021 pay first months rent and security and still did not move in yet and I’m hearing they have a hold on Nycha is this True

You did not get scammed hun. I been waiting since last year October as well. My aunt works for NYCHA and they have this new procedure now. The apt has to be inspected for lead and they are using a 3rd party company that is just not working out. I dont know when or will they fix this but I hope they do ASAP. my neighbor been waiting 2 years now smfh.

You and your neighbor provided first months rent and a security deposit 9 months / 2 years ago? This is not correct. Either you are confused or you were scammed. You need a lawyer.

Yes, I stay in contact with NYCHA. I know what's going on. I'm not worried about it being a scam. Thank you for the advice tho.

I haven’t signed a lease or seen the apartment yet, but I have been waiting since March. Every time I call they say the apartment isn’t fixed yet. It’s very frustrating!
