Thanks for the update. I'm sorry the floor plans are bad.

I did anticipate this when streeteasy posted a bunch market rate. If you look at the main overall layouts, I think all the affordable one bedrooms will be the 2 boxy ones that are next to each other on the east side. So even if they opened up more floors, it wouldn't make much of a difference. The construction over there are just breaking ground so you'll be looking and hearing it for a couple of years. Plus the empty plot north will eventually be bid out soon too so that's more construction.

Sleep on it. I think the reason if I were to take a unit would be that rent is still cheaper than other 130 AMI units. But if rent isn't an issue for you, there definitely are bigger and better affordable apartments.

I entered this lottery but was never assigned a log number. I did know that was a thing. Does it happen often?

On the housing lottery website (https://housingconnect.nyc.gov/) after I log in it shows my application number, but no log number.

Oops! Now, clicking on it again, it is there. It's a really high one, though. I must have misread it. Thanks!

They called me back in the day after to view 2 extra units that I've been persistently asking about and I ended up liking one of the units. Will keep you posted for when I am fully approved to sign lease/move in! Will post more information once I get to lease signing stage. Just do your research on layout of floorplans and be persistent in asking to see if that line is available in your AMI so you don't have to waste each others time by viewing units you won't actually like. *FYI East facing has the worse view out of the other sides of the building!

YAY very glad it's working out for you! Keep us posted and please share more (if you feel comfortable)!

Will definitely share with the group once I complete my application!

If you can share your AMI and preference in # of bedrooms, I can try to help you predict what units they will show you or what units you can ask to view.

I'm aiming for a 1 bed 125 AMI
I know there was like a 1 bed floor plan posted that's not east facing for 165 AMI but rent is too much.

I think actually all the 1 beds will be 125 or 165. There's only like 1 unit that's left in 80 AMI if you deduct the senior allotments.

You are correct. There is a 1 bedroom in line 25 facing North with good views, but those are very limited. I asked if they were available in my AMI and she said there was just 1 for mobility at the time, could change as developers release more approved units for showing, but I wasn't able to see any other 1 bedrooms for affordable that weren't East facing. Line 28 and 29 were mirrors of each other and Line 26 may or may not only be allocated for market rate. You may be able to get a 165% AMI line 25 one, but yea it is more expensive than the 125%.
