The astra is a all affordable building so in all affordable buildings they take section 8 but also they charge the full amount for the voucher for the 1 bedroom my step dad has section 8 and he lives in a all affordable building they charge him the full amount for his one bedroom and he has to pay 30 percent of his income towards it...they are allowed to charge the full amount of the voucher if the voucher is 2218 it don't matter if the rent is 1900 they will charge the full amount and section 8 will accept it
