Hi all! Do you know if the AMI categories that we need to fall into are the most current 2022 calculations, or the AMI calculations that existed when the lottery was open/I applied?

Thank you!

I believe the current calculations. The lotteries itself on HC should show the updated incomes.

For the ones I checked that closed before the new income calculation, the lower end of the range stayed the same, but the higher end was updated with 2022 numbers.

AMIs confuse me because the ones on Housing Connect are different from the ones here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/hpd/servic...an-income.page . May someone explain to me why the percentages and values are different?

I looked at my own AMI and it looks the same to me. I fall between 120-165 with 130 AMI being the most common of the 3 on HC. The max income level of 130 AMI for 1 person is the same. The last chart shows the max rent and that has been correct too.

What exactly did you notice different?

The maximum will match the website you linked, even if the HC site doesn't always update, the max is whatever the current year HUD max AMI is. HUD releases the new AMIs around April each year and shortly after that time the HC lottos have to start using the new maximums. Each building can set their own minimum for each AMI/apt size etc. which is why the *ranges* are sometimes different.

Oh I think it's the lack of ranges that was giving me a hard time in understanding. Sorry about that and thanks for the explanation!
