Renters insurance not only to protect your belongings but mostly for liability & these days, your landlord/building management will need their tenants to have one for the above purpose especially if you live in a luxurious apartment building like Eagle+West.
I never thought of that. I'm surprise Eagle + West hasn't mentioned anything to me about it yet. Thank you!
Have you signed your lease yet? If not yet, perhaps your building management will include that renters insurance advisory as part of your lease packet, that's what my building management did & they advised me to get minimum $350,000 in liability.

My building asks for $100,000, which comes out to $130? I forgot the exact amount, but definitely low. But they don't really check to make sure you have it.
$100K for personal liability is pretty low, hope your insurance premium is not pricey too. I just checked out mine, I was wrong, my building management was asking minimum $300K for personal liability & my monthly premium with Lemonade is inexpensive, only $12/mo.

I haven't. I'm waiting to start the on-boarding process and they told me today my agent will contact me within 48 hours. I'll look out for it in the lease packet.
