We don't think that they do, but we think that you will get processed in each preference group you belong to. So if one preference group is exhausted before they get to you, you will still have a chance in the next preference group. Of course that's the kind of thing that's very hard to ensure that they're actually doing from the outside, but it's the natural inference from the handbook.

I've been back and forth on my docs all week, because I received child support and reimbursements from my ex for our kids as well as some gift income to help cover some unexpected medical expenses I had....but the agent has been making it seem like I may indeed be offered an apartment soon. Until I sign a lease, I'll be holding my breath.

Yesterday I saw the 2-bedroom unit that I'm approved for ~ still waiting on HPD approval and holding my breath but they asked if I can move in next week and I couldn't be more thrilled. The building and amenities are incredible. The amenities package at the 100% AMI is just $100/mo and includes the rooftop pool, the 8th floor shared common areas and coworking, gym & yoga room, and outdoor spaces with grills, a game room...I'm probably forgetting something. It's really nice.

That's wonderful! I'm approved for a 50% AMI unit, just waiting on HPD as well. Holding my breath also, it's such an amazing building.

Congrats, you two! None of the neighboring Essex Crossing buildings have a pool, which makes you the fanciest!
