Good Afternoon,

Just wanted to know has anyone got contacted for a lottery apartment while staying with someone ( name not on lease or light bills) ?

if so did you still have the option to provide 12 months of rent history? or you still had to do credit check?

You will have to prove your current address (where you are staying), and proof of rent and utility payments. If you have any receipts proving you pay the person you stay with for these expenses, that should be adequate. If not, that person will have to provide their lease and then provide a notarized self-statement confirming that you live with them and detailing the amount you pay for rent and utilities. If you don't have specific receipts, you may have to submit to the credit check in addition to the above.

When I was contacted the agent requested a notarized letter stating I was living with my parents (none of the bills in my name) & I opted for credit check

I am aware of providing the proof of address such as notarized letter along with copy of lease/utility bills.

My question is has anybody ever been called while staying with someone and you was able to provide proof of rent paid even if your name WAS NOT on the lease/utility bills ? note you stated " should be adequate" im asking if anybody actually did this process before and ACTUALLY KNOW.

Again i am aware that i have to provide proof of address such as notarized letter along with a copy of their lease and utility bills i understand that part.

I am asking for the people who got contacted before and was staying with someone and chose the option of providing 12 months of paid rent over the credit check and they actually allowed you to provide 12 months of rent history while staying with someone and your name was not on the lease.

The notarized letter IS what is required in this case, as I said, when your name is not on the lease or utilities, please re-read what I said. That being said, the agency may still ask you to do the credit check because some agencies are more strict and some less so. Yes I "ACTUALLY KNOW", please be nice, we are trying to help you.
