Log #3xx. Got picked to submit documents but will have to opt out. Can't pay 3124 for a 1 bedroom on our income. This is so sad, finally getting picked just for this. Honestly we were hoping our income would go up before we got picked.

Huge bummer. Just remember to take the rent-stabilized aspect and its long-term implications into account (if you aren't already in a RS unit). If you're currently paying $2900 for a place that is not RS this place will probably be cheaper in five to seven years. But obviously if you can't swing it, you can't.

It costs a MINIMUM of 46% of the top end of the income bracket for a 1 b/r. Insane. “AFfoRdAbLE” i guess.

You knew or should have income bands for these apartments when you entered lottery. Just what did you think was going to change if your application was chosen to go forward?
