I got an email yesterday about one of the apartments in the Bronx and that I indicated on the appplication that I was a NYCHA resident living for an apartment. Has anyone gotten a similar email or maybe letter before?

This email is just a heads up so you have the additional documentation needed if they did call your log number which is to have your NYCHA house composition letter ready because just in case they reach your like the email states you stated that you are a NYCHA resident and for the lottery I believe NYCHA residence have 25% preference. So basically, this probably means just to have your documents ready because some people do have their address listed that they live in a NYCHA residence but they are not on the household composition so they probably will not be considered preference over someone who can actually provide documentation that they are a NYCHA resident for that 25% preference.

Unfortunately no there is no way to know if they are near or on your log number. The only thing you can really do is make sure your are checking your email daily and keeping your information on Housing connect as up to date as possible.

I also received this email and this is not the first lottery I’ve applied to that has NYCHA preference but it is the first to send this email so hoping it means something . What is your log # by the way ?
