Has anyone ever heard of someone being rejected after their paperwork was submitted to HPD by the marketing agency?

I'm asking because I received the email below about a unit I viewed recently and wanted to know if there was any type of hope for me. I'm trying to remain positive as God knows how much I need/want this apartment.

You should appeal. I can’t see your email at this moment unfortunately.

It's very rare that someone would get rejected at the HPD level and that's usually when the project manager makes a mistake with a calculation especially on the TIC form. Instead of worrying, I'd spend that energy looking for movers which in my opinion is the worst part of the entire process.

If I'm reading/understanding correctly, someone else is ahead of you and their file was sent to HPD? if this is correct, yes, it's rare to get rejected by HPD If that is the case, I say prepare for the worst and hope for the best, I know it doesn't help...

Hi Lani,

This is what the email states:

“Log #12 seems to be proceeding. Should they withdraw or be otherwise rejected I will be contacting you.

Please allow 4 weeks taking into consideration our holiday schedule before I have a final update.”

So that is why I was asking if there is any hope. I am praying so very hard that this works out for me. To know your so close is nerve wrecking lol .

It’s normal to be nervous. You weren’t rejected, but there’s someone with a log number ahead of you. You’re still in the running from what was said in the email, but just remember they go in the order of log numbers. Just be patient. They’ll get to you for sure.

Yes, I am extremely nervous lol. This is for a mini lottery so that's why my anxiety is through the roof. However, like you said I haven't been rejected so I'm just going to leave it in God's hands. If it's meant for me it will be mine. Thank you for your words of encouragment!

The project manager didn't specify if the person ahead of me had their file sent to HPD I was just making that assumption from the email that I received. I'm going to keep thinking positive and hope for the best like you stated. Thank you for response!

Yes you’re welcome. You got this, I understand the nervousness you have but people turn units down all the time. I’m hoping you give us some good news shortly and accepted a unit when they get to you.
