Starting a new thread. This is not listed like the previous lotteries. It looks like there is no end date date.

Prices are much steeper than the last (2021) lottery. Example, the minimum rent ($2600) this time for a 2 bedroom is the same as the maximum rent just 2 years ago! Good luck to all applicants. The price is too steep for my budget, which perfume from applying in the past but, I got lucky and won an apartment last year.

This one-bedroom just popped up on the site. Go to https://affordable-housing.stuytown.com/apartments/ to access. It’s the platinum finish with the open kitchen and in a great part of Stuy Town, the Oval. A beautiful apartment! May overlook the basketball court, not sure.

Thank you, I applied for it just before it get removed like 10 minutes ago. but the price is different than the pdf. in pdf the lower range show 2000 for lower end of the income but this was a fixed price point. Does anyone know whether the price will change or this is the price they are offering.

If I had to make an educated guess, I would say that this price is fixed. You would get the unit if your income is appropriate, according to whatever formula is used. In other words, if you are on the low end of the income bracket, you would be approved for an apartment that is also on the lower end, and not one that is more expensive. After all, these apartments are supposed to be affordable.

But it’s great you managed to apply! Please keep posting as you go through the process, and best of luck!

This is a really fancy apartment, and it makes sense that it’s more expensive than the “minimally renovated” units in the 2021 lottery.

Another question is, let’s say you don’t get this particular apartment. Would Stuy Town save your info and automatically consider you for the next one?

Thanks for the heads up. This lottery feels like hunger game. Apparently, you have to check from 7 to 10 am for it to show up and then it disappears quickly and it doesn't give everyone a chance, then it quickly gets removed from their website.

So because the prices are higher do we know if the units are rent stabilized?

Technically, all apartments in ST/PCV are rent stabilized at present, but some of them are the subject of a lawsuit, which the landlord just lost but plans to appeal.

That is my roundabout way of saying that this is a great question. Like all Stuy Town lotteries, a sense of mystery and confusion prevails!

If someone is asked to submit documents for one of these Hunger Games apartments (thanks, Sabavoon!), please ask!

Wow, they pop and fly quick. I'd love to know what the renter ends up actually paying. It's not exactly low priced but IMHO considering the location, size and no gas/electric bill other than the supplement for unlimited AC...
