as u can see i have ALOT of question.. thanks to any who can take the time to read and answer them..and definitely any who have already gone thru the process and have both been approved and disqaulified..

I have an interview coming up in a couple of weeks, i have all documents + copies ready for the interview
im just hoping , i can get to step 2 after the interview.. i dont wanna be placed on a waiting list..especially if we have all the requirements, and can pay rent without a problem, and me and my girlfriend are holding a 770 and a 780 score, which i believe is pretty darn ok, no late payments, or discrepancies in our report

another thing i wanted to ask is, if the minimum for a 2bed is around $33K , but we only made $31.5K in 2009, will they reject us automatically? because our recent paystubs will prove that we are GOING To make well over $33k to put us in the range.. We should be making in total THIS year by end of year, at least 34K.. also i have the option to work a few more hours if needed to make up the requirement, will they consider all this?
thanks again to all who relpy

i just came from the interview..and this was my problem..and i was trying to explain my situation but she couldnt do anything about it...but my case is not completely closed...she will send me a letter where i can appeal explaining why and proving my income for this year...i was little upset b/c she didnt consider my previous tax returns all she was lookin at was the 4-6 week stubs.

ahh ok, sorry to hear that, ill probably bring 8 stubs , just so they see a consistency, there are 2 stubs which are lower than my usual pay, since i was out on disability for 2 weeks, Ill even bring the doctors evaluation for proof, that i was out on TEMP RETURN to WORK for 2 weeks, so i made less for those 2 weeks.. Thanks for noting that, now ill bring that extra documentation as well.

if u can, can u tell me, exactly what to expect when i walk thru that door and sit down with them?

u go in and a someone from new york housing preservation gives u an optional survey...after you are done the actual interview begins...they ask you for your appt letter..first thing she asked for was the pay stubs she starts calculating a projected year income for the current year...then she asks for bank statement and adds that to your income...if you qualify she will continue if not then she will send u home and tell u that you will get a letter...i didnt get very far so i wouldnt know what happens beyond this point...but she did tell me that the credit check is the last step..

hmm ok..its so sad, that most applicants, although have some minor issues, with some of the things, are actually GOOD candidates and responsible for an opportunity like that..if just given the chance..

me and my girlfriend , are very responsible, and work just like everybody else, we have 2 young children , that we would love to raise in a place like river place II

i found this online
http://www.nychdc.com/pdf/developers/lowincome/2008/NYCHDC%20Low%20Income%20Marketing%20Guidelines%202 008.pdf
this is the procedure they need to take during the process...
and i don't know if i'm reading incorrectly but in the
Employment Income section it states that they must verify our income in 3 ways and after determining it they should compare and choose the higher of 3...the person that interviewed me only did the projected income....and automatically terminated my application...i wonder what i can do from here
