There small public beaches in Chicago Downtown area with skyline views also along coastline in the city maybe they following what there

Manhattan may not be the first place you picture when you think beach town, but the New York City borough is about to get its very own sandy stretch of paradise — just don't plan to swim there.

The Hudson River Park Trust is set to begin construction on the beach this spring as part of its larger Gansevoort Peninsula project in the Meatpacking District, Gothamist reports. The five-and-a-half-acre project will be built on solid ground as opposed to an actual peninsula, and include a salt marsh, sports fields, a dog run, and a sandy beach with kayak access.

That's a big nope for me. LOL

I go to the beach to relax, not hear honking horns and city congestion.

This’ll be a nice addition to the city. One of my favorite places to go is the little beach between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges

A disaster waiting to happen. It'll be nice to look at from above, I'm sure, which will increase property values even more. But from a utility perspective, I would never go there. I go to the beach to, in part, go in the water. And I'm not even dipping my toes in the Hudson.

A bad idea as think the rivers around Manhattan are too polluted for safe bathing.

Manhattan does not need a beach. We have such other things here that need attention to fix and make better. No, we don't need a freaking beach here.
Like another poster stated, car fumes, honking horns, all the boat traffic and noise, will not make this a nice relaxing spot.

Total waste of money time and effort.

I agree. This city does not need a beach, there are plenty of beaches that can be reached by road and subway.
