public lewdness in NY is classified as an "offense against public sensibilities" but it doesn't seem to be a sex offense per se (in other states it is a sex offense) in NY. it's a class B misdemeanor with a max of 90 days in jail
so technically is someone is convicted of this, they would not go on a sex offender registry?
is this because NY is a more liberal state or that the acts committed under NY state law are different than that of another state, making it a sex crime?
