I saw my next door neighbor at the supermark last week and she was looking at me like why the hiking pack So i explained to her it's something i started doing out in Ca to get used to the walking to and from the store in the city there ..
I use a walmart brand hiking backpack for carrying food's home from the one store and she was like just take a taxi home from the store and i explained to her that i have a the 30 day unlimited monthly's subway fare pass to ride the subway anywhere i want to..
So is that stange to you guy's up there to use a backpack to get the food home to the apt ..
well i've personally never seen that but it sounds sensible - however i wouldn't know any better anyway because we can't see what's in a backpack so i just assume it's some dude/lady from spain, scotland, etc exploring new york. .. but i 'm pretty sure backpacks are better (physically) for your body than bags
To me it make more sense than try to lug home a bunch of plastic bag's than put everything in one bag and carry it home that way ..She is a cab person i have yet to see her not take a cab someone and back from her shopping ..
henry -- that's a great idea, I think you're smart. If the neighbor wants to spend stupid money, that's her problem.
However if she's questioning you in a judgmental way, you could just say with a big smile -- "yeah, I don't get why people take taxis to do shopping, if you're going to spend that money, you might as well just order it from fresh direct and have it delivered."
