spoke with a old friend who lives in the LES ave d, area hes telling me LES is on a big downfall again as far as crime, ghetto, drugs, etc. anyone else in the area have any input on this?
i mean i always new the area on ave d, pj's and such in that area are crappy but hes telling me its much worst and a much larger section.
The only time I'm over there is when I get invited to a friend's b-day party and they have it at a lounge in that area. Its ok I guess...depends what you're used to. I wouldn't say its horrible but its not the greatest. When I go there I go in and then out...I don't wander around and stroll through the area
No, but keep in mind, first, that crime is cyclical, and second, statistics can be misleading.
At some point, inevitably, crime will go up. However, let's pretend that NYC used to have 10,000 crimes per year and now it has 1,000 per year. Do you see that if there are 100 more crimes next year, people will be yelling that crime is up by 10%, whereas in the past that same 100 would have been a drop in the bucket?
