Thinking about taking my daughter for her 4th birthday to the American Girl Place in NYC to buy a doll, some accessories and go to the salon. I haven't decided if we should eat at the restaurant they have there yet. Anyone know how expensive it is and what they serve?

We were planning on going on her actual birthday which is in the summer and lies on a weekend day. Would we be better off crowd wise going during the week instead? How long are the waits for the extra things in general?

Any reviews or answers would be helpful!!

Please don't subject your 4 year old child to this hideous, mindless brainwashing/indoctrination school. It will set her on the wrong path and she will grow up with a warped sense of values. No child needs to be immersed in the destructive messages that this place is exuding.

Well, my parents never bought me the dolls or anything, only the books! If I wanted a doll, it was going to have to be the regular old "fake" kind.

The website has a sample menu online. How hard is it to go to the website, or to pick up the phone and call?
Look, I'll even give you their number, that I got after 15 excruciating seconds of searching: 877-247-5223
