As the song says - "Everyday's a Holiday, and Every Night is Saturday Night."

^^^True!
IMO; Christmas/NYE's is the busiest time for tourism in the City. Between the Tree lighting, The Rockettes in Radio City, and experience of watching the BALL drop (which to this day I've yet to experience! ahahaha) it draws people in droves.
The city is literally LIT UP with lights/decorations and such. I would have to say it is by far my fav time to walk around the City.
Truck the world series. I don't care about that spit. So what, the Yankee's win. Does my rent go down? Do they pay my frakkin rent? They are in the middle of a run down area in the Bronx, a borough outsiders stay clear from because it's not hip enough until the Yankee's are in town, with a billion dollar frakkin stadium smack in the middle of the ghetto, with these baseball players playing for millions whether they win or lose, just to hit a baseball and run around in a stupid frakkin diamond. What am I supposed to do? Shoot fire out of my ass because they are going to go party, do tons of coke and play with millions of their dollars at some hot spot, posh night club afterwards popping bottles and porking super models? While the rest of us go back home, and celebrate for THEM!? What the hell, I never understand that.
Anyway, don't mind me. I'm just in a bitter, annoyed, crappy, sappy poopy pants mood. I do mean what I say though.
I have to agree with Coachgns and I was also about to say that every day is an event lol. But if you're looking for specific things, there's the NYC Food and Wine Festival, which was just last weekend if I'm not mistaken. There's the NYC Halloween Parade too.
The World Series is not a NYC specific event. It's just an event.
