Where in NYC(any borough except staten island) can I find cheap swim instructions? I'm a college student and I looked into yMCA but found the program a little pricey(about $170 for non-members). I'm a CUNY student.
does anyone know which CUNY campus offers swim lessons at its campus?
I know that brooklyn college has a new and nice pool and kingsborough also has a pool.but not sure if these two have swim lessons? I cheked websites but could not find anything.

I know that Hostos has a decent pool and lessons, but I don't know what it costs. You should check it out. I believe the NYC recreation centers also have swimming lessons at locations with pools, so call for information. St. Mary's Park recreation center in Mott Haven (Bronx) has free swimming lessons for kids under 18, and free for members.
I think you are being a little unrealistic in thinking that $170.00 is pricey.Any swimming course is likely to be at least 10 lessons and taught by a certified instructors.
Anyway,Bronx House,on Pelham Parkway, has them for $185.00 They have a heated indoor pool.

I shall check it out...I checked the recreation center websites but could not find any schedules. I will call. Do I need to be a member for taking swim classes in these centers? Oh and I'm an adult..
