I don't think you are going to get much traction on this issue. Yes the cops in NYC over react. But in this case, locating someone who may be armed, who is aggressive, who jumped bail. I think the actions of the cops were justified.
As to your other points: He is her boyfriend, not her husband. Hasn't become a man yet, just a thug that had a baby with someone, but doesn't want to man up and legally be the father, with all the responsibility that implies.
Another thug would have treated her more harshly, suggesting even more harm. Any thug that would harm a women bodily, is no man.
