Hi, My parents are going to buy a house on Wilson Ave & Halsey St. The nearest train station are Wilson Ave and Halsey St. Which station would be best to come out by? How bad of an area is this? They say bushwick is changing....

That part of Bushwick is hood, no more or less. Changing from Canarsie to Bushwick will definitely take some adjusting, unless you lived in hood spots before.

Not a good area. Arguably one the worst parts of Bushwick. And the further east you go on Wilson past Halsey the worse it gets. I used to go around there a lot.

I'm gonna take a wild guess at why she assumes Canarcie is worse than Bushwick... Let's see if people can see where I'm going with this...

For the record, Weirfield, Halsey, Jefferson ave, Hancock, Schaeffer, are all around your area... All are shady blocks...

I'm sure I sound like a broken record already but to this day it still never ceases to amaze me how people can buy without doing any research on an area... Crazy thing was the Police truck was just removed from Wyckoff and Halsey to service another hotspot in Bushwick. About two weeks later it's put back in...

Another one for good measure... This one on Wilson and Hancock... Within sneezing distance on your block.
