I'm sure they have some kind of tolerable debt/income ratio but I don't know what it is? I imagine its reflected in your credit score.

I just received a phone call for a home visit next week. I'm guessing that this is good news. Can anyone offer any info on the home visit ? How long is the wait after the visit ? Does this mean that I wil get the apartment ?

Having a home visit means you have a lot of posibilities of getting the apartment. What they check is how clean is your apartment, etc. I think when they schedule a home visit is because you have passed all the credit check. (I am not 100% sure about that), but in my case, after the home visit it took about 3 months for them to call me to request the most recent paystubs and bank statements. But it took that long because the building was not completed. I guess each development proceed in differnt ways. Good luck

Thanks. I was told at the initial interview that the building was complete. The only thing that needed to be done was turning on the gas in the apartments. When I do get it (I like to think positive) if possible how do I go about adding someone to the lease ?

I was told this afternoon that my paperwork was sent over to the city for approval. I was also told the apartment size and number. I guess I just have to wait for the city to send back the approval and to go view the apartment. Is there another step before signing the lease ?
