All because of an argument, no less. Just goes to show you, you just never know what people are capable of. This is why I try to tell the BF that in some situations, you're better off walking away.

Yet another reason why I dont miss taking the subway.
There's a lot of nutjobs out there.

Anyone ever heard of a case where a HIV positive person went on a rampage pinching people with a syringe on a crowded subway platform? Was that a urban myth?
I hope so

I remember an HIV positive person that was leaving needles for people to sit on and stuff like that - I thought on the west coast several years ago.

Remember the chain saw attack (I think Columbus circle maybe 2006?) That was crazy.

Was on the train very recently and a woman was having a fight with someone/something invisible. She was spin kicking and punching, hitting the walls. Everyone stayed very far away. At times she would quiet, cover herself with her jacket, then wake-up and attack again.

Crazies everywhere.

Crazy. That's why I chill back against a wall or away from the platform until the train arrives.

I do the same. Leaning over the platform just an inch from the edge will not make the train arrive any faster. This is one of my worst fears, Someone just deciding to push me as I am not paying attention.

And there have been several tragic cases where a person faints or falls into the train and it is fatal.
