With you on that one...odd- the hipsters that vote do not think things out- They voted for Obama because he was black but over look the fact that he likes to keep the industrial military complex vigorous...Drone? Good lord..they are a cowards dream...hipster techno nuts must secretly love the idea of killing or waging a war where they do not get their hands dirty...Hipsters are irresponsible...How could they allow for barbarity and stay so quiet...Judge a person not by what they say..but by what they fail to say- Never saw a hipster protest anything..The are to busy walking the street and watching their own reflections in the windows of upscale shops and eateries.

Hipsters are on a lower level than hippies...at least a hippy would declare..."That is wrong"..To a hipster all is just fine...as long as their bank card works.

that sucks for people to be that naiive too.

i saw a sticker today that said 'republicans
work hard so you don't have to'.

that's like saying they are the main ones
who promote welfare because they're the
only ones really working. they don't want
u in their way so "just take this check and
this public housing and food stamps and
go away".

people voted party, not race. if obama
was a white guy, he still would have been
elected. u gotta admit, he has way more
confidence in america than the last two
republican presidential candidates.

  • Finally, this is a personal pet peeve of mine and it is semi-related to the third bullet point that was made. (Transplants (people from other states) have been around long before this explosion that took place roughly 5-10 years ago... (The difference between those SOHO/East Village/LES/Early Williamsburg pioneers and the new group of hipsters is the attitude so many new arrivals come with)... This feeling of superiority over native New Yorkers and that anything non-trendy to them is repulsive pisses me the hell off as it does to many other people... This was an attitude that wasn't present with those before them and I tend to believe that it is the main reason why there is so much resentment towards this group...
COMPLETELY AGREE. I admit that I am a transplant (born and raised CT, went to school in CA) but I do not share the mentality that hipsters do. First of all, the superiority complexes they have are phenomenal. I used to live with one and he would say the most passive aggressive things if I was watching a mainstream movie like Enchanted or Braveheart. Or if I shopped at Old Navy. Or when I didn't buy organic. Then he'd become such a p**** if I ever called him out on something.

I'm glad they aren't murderers or thugs but their general smugness is so annoying. Not to mention most of them work ****ty cafe jobs or live off their parents income.

I wonder if hipsters know there are more candidates than the ones the New York Times tells them about. If so that puts 'em one leg up on you.

The candidates that don't get the
nomination don't really count tho.
