Boston blast will surely spark more heightened security measures, more reasons for stripping civilian privacy and rights, and more tax dollars to train and hire security guards to keep things under control.

Is this a new way to deconstruct the US power form within by smaller rivals without modern warships or nuclear bomb?

Civilian freedom and democracy that US has been trying to spread to warred places like the middle east and former communist countries are not guaranteed under its regime. Is this meant to be a fail for interfering too much and not being appreciated by the rest of the world?

America is turning into a developed country version of Iraq....
Mass killing here and there, and if that does not bother you, you are a lucky person.

What mass killings are you talking about?

Terrorist attacks or Columbine, Sandy Hook and the like?

In either case, the reaction is due to *white* America's outsized fasle sense of and perceived entiitlement of *safety*.

Isn't that what the whole suburban/exurban thing is all about?

America could choose to simply go on with life.

I'm not lucky, simply intelligent. The odds of anything happening to anyone are so infintesimle (sp?) it isn't worthy of concern. You have a better chance of hitting the jackpot in a casino!

Moreover, there are more people dying and living under fear in the cities and ghettoes of this country, than ALL the so called mass attacks COMBINED!!

There are no national vigils. No Presidential outrage. No concerted Congressional efforts. No Vice Presidential sponsorship. No everyday headlines. Nothing. Nada!

So, if you think, any of this *mass* crap, makes my life 'in the hood' and/or as a black or hispanic male, anymore dangerous or of any greater concern, WTFU, and get real!

LOL!

Is that what I said, or implied?

Or, is it that, when filtered through your mind it comes out like that? Too prejudiced to look with any view other than youur own?

You exhibit the sort of mindset which prevents any honest discussion involving any aspect of race, specifically one, in which, negative traits of whites are involved. Specifically, the hypocracy of their actions and mindsets.

In any event, feeling safe has little to do with being safe, and THAT is the point!

By "manage" do you mean run a police state?

Yeah, they are always expensive, but don't expect the rich to pay the bill.
