There were three bars on my block on Webster between BPB and 201st St. The Jolly Tinker, The Botanical Inn and the something Pub if I recall - which I obviously don't. 204th St had (has?) McMahon's and McDwyer's both on the same block as well. Absolutely amazing how bars manage to survive through so many changes. They're like the cockroaches of retail.
I think there was also a Gorman's bar as well, one storefront up from Webster Ave on 204th Street proper. Of course, it was Irish....
Yes, I think it was a victim of a fire a few years back. Too bad. Great place to hang out at 2AM after a few beers with the boys. Then up in the morning playing softball with an aching head. :-0
