They should turn it into an indoor beach (sans the water) with sand and heatlamps in the summer.

I've been to less classy places and paid a $20 cover charge . I don't mind that so much. It's all the other stuff they hit people up on like taking pictures and convincing people to buy them--they won't let patrons take their own pictures. And there's the upgrade for coat and glove rental. What a waste of money if they had to buy all these various types of coats and gloves and try to make their money back.

Imagine spending over $200 for a few hours to cool off and you're wearing a coat and gloves?! My LIPA bill isn't even $200 for a month during the summer and that's running all the a/c's lol

I LOL'd at this comment I read on yelp

"It's a definite tourist trap, but it's a fun thing to check out once. Prices are totally touristy-worthy and they don't allow pictures because they want to upsell you on all the cheesy photos they are taking of you. They also try and upsell you on better coats and gloves, etc, which is totally dumb. Like I said, it's fun and neat once..don't stay long...come in for a bit...laugh a little..and never come back. At the end they showed us the pictures they took of us...one problem..that wasn't us, but another bi-racial couple. I mean, come on...Seriously..Her explanation was that it was dark lighting. WTF?!? That's even worse. Stop while you're behind."
