One of the weirder stories I've read in a long time.A woman moves from E 56th St to Soundview with her elderly mother. They seem perfectly happy.Read the story and watch the video.Thoughts ?
When I first saw the headline I was sure it would be about someone moving from the East Side to Riverdale or maybe Morris Park but the lure of a $295,000 single family house with a back yard brought them to Soundview.
Have to admit,I was not totally familiar with that little area ,except for White Plains Road, which is pretty depressing around there. And Watson Ave has a sort of infamous reputation.But.......when you wander around the blocks on street view it's not THAT bad! Actually quite a bit better than I thought ,but I'm still shocked at the thought of this woman moving there from E 56th St.I guess it goes to show that all kinds of people really are starting to move to The Bx because of much lower prices.

The photo in the article shows the house number very clearly (1046) so I just googled 1046 Soundview and it came up as the third hit.
Wow,good work ! You should work for the NYPD as a detective! I saw the 1046 but never thought it was enough to get anywhere.
Thanks! Googling hard to find info is kind of a hobby of mine I guess.
