This is for NY C that's why it is posted here...I am trying to find out if hot dog carts in down town NY C are allowed to use propane to heat their food? I'm asking because I read that Houston does not allow propane in downtown or the medical center and I believe it's just to keep them out.... Thanks for any help you can give me....

I will assume "hot dog carts" include all free standing food carts. If that the case, yes, they do allow propane tanks.

You dont see many pure old fashioned hot dog carts downtown anymore.

Oh please, such nonsense. Have you tried a good chicken and rice lately?

You must have been one of those picky eaters as a baby. Maybe you will change when you grow up a bit.

If I want chicken and rice.. I'll sit down and eat it somewhere - not from a street cart with who-knows-what is going on cleanliness wise.

...and nothing wrong with being a picky eater and knowing what you want going inside of your mouth. However, it sounds like you'll have anything go in yours....... anything.

There are fancy street carts now and almost every cuisine can be bought from a street cart these days. I know you probably have a certain subset in mind when you say street cart though.

Guess you have never worked in a restaurant. Keep believing its all clean and healthy.

You do know its a mental illness to be a picky eater?
