If you read my response, you would note that Giuliani's wife had an office in city hall + staff at a cost to taxpayers of $300K per year.

I would rather drink bleach then vote for Mr. De Blasio, because I agree with just about nothing with him on the issues. That being said, his wife is not doing anything unique here. This is just politics as usual. Previous administrations have done this, and future administrations will continue to do this as well. All I can hope for is that this man is going to be a one term mayor, and the next election will offer some better alternative candidates.

NYT article :

Patients' Costs Skyrocket; Specialists' Incomes Soar

..."Doctors’ charges — and the incentives they reflect — are a major factor in the nation’s $2.7 trillion medical bill. Payments to doctors in the United States, who make far more than their counterparts in other developed countries, account for 20 percent of American health care expenses, second only to hospital costs."......

What an idiotic statement! Why can't you just say, that you would never vote for him?

Fine, but ridiculous suicidal imagery does not add credence to your position.

Agreed. She's going to be part of his administration, much more than Hanover was. He could just as easily make her a deputy mayor, and give her a salary.

I'm being sarcastic, and using some colorful language. It's not my problem if you have a reading comprehension problem. As for the Mayor's wife, she is not behaving any differently from previous administrations.

Donna Hanover was not involved in policy so there is no comparison.

Are you kidding me?

Donna Hanover was not a black lefty either --- isn't that your main objection Lady

Mayor de Blasio’s wife, Chirlane McCray, wants her own office inside City Hall — and to play a hands-on, policy-setting role in her husband’s administration, sources told The Post.

Officials have been scouting space for New York City’s new first lady, who described herself as a “sounding board and partner” to her husband during his campaign and transition to mayor, a source said.

And the administration has been working on a portfolio of issues for McCray to tackle, *another source said.

McCray would also like a staff — and her top pick to head it up is Rachel Noerdlinger, a longtime spokeswoman and confidant for the Rev. Al Sharpton, NY1 reported Friday.
What is the difference between the wife and any other advisor that worked on the campaign? Contributers to a politicians election are expected to get paid off with a job of some level or other. The mayor can hire any advisor he desires and set them up in any office he wants. If their relationship is that of partners, then maybe he should provide a space for her. It is up to him.

NY1 ItCH: Defining a First Lady's Blurred Lines - NY1

"Defining a First Ladies Blurred Lines"

From the article:

"The mayor bristled a little yesterday when asked about a Quinnipiac Poll last week that showed that only 27 percent of city voters thought that McCray "should have a major role in shaping policy" while 66 percent said she should have a minor role or none at all."

Well ladies and gentlemen, what we have here in NYC now with De Blasio is what I like to call the "Obama Effect". Meaning that whenever Obama would be critizied, the libturds come out in full force and defend their president. Whether its throwing out the usual race card or other tactic to discredit any critic. Same is now happening with De Blasio and his black wife with ties to the racist Al Sharpton yet the libturds find that ok. If it were Bush or Giulliani that had ties to KKK members or something to that effect, the libturbs would be the #1 critic and demand they resign. Just goes to show the mentality and double standard libturds have. Smh!
