A few days ago I would have thought a thread about the moral complexities of punting a cat would be much shorter than this.

ok, so why don't you answer your own question: Do you hunt for food or do you hunt for "sport"?

If we don't define our moral boundaries and gradually let our culture accept cruelty, we'll become those countries. It's not just about the specificity of a cat kicker, but the overall mentality of this group of people. This type of behavior is lauded among his contemporaries who are also void of morality and empathy. This behavior transpires in other situations, ie.armed robbery, violent crimes, etc.; as noted, he has been arrested for robbery with a knife. One article in a newspaper is marginalizing the inordinate amount of crime, poverty and corruption in the city that is depicted in media on a daily basis.

Not everyone can grow up with a proper upbringing or environment. This kid is a product of his environment and his decision making process is skewed toward instant gratification.

Our "culture" is already engrained with celebrity worship, lack of aspirations, easy access to luxury lifestyle via media, and delusion. More kids will continue this behavior in other forms as America is a joke when it comes to actual "culture".

When America has a population that can sustain shows like Honey Boo Boo, Kardashians, and other bull**** reality shows, nonsense like this tends to occur on a much more publicized basis.

Not everyone can get to the top but everyone still believes they are special snowflakes. Every pop song and media facet emphasizes the importance of "myself" and "doing me". Crime and not giving a **** about anything but yourself is lauded all over America, are you really that surprised that this happened?

In short, American "culture" makes having money and a luxury lifestyle a priority without emphasizing the amount of work it takes to get there. Kids think all life is about is having the nicest car or next Jordan so when they have no means to get them by working, they resort to robbing. When these kids need to have "fun" but have no where to actually be productive like a nice park or community center; they resort to kicking stray kittens.

So Honey Boo Boo and the Kardashians are at fault. Okay.

Sotomayor grew up in the South Bronx and is now an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Not everyone has to accomplish that, but the least you can do is not kick cats and rob people with a knife. That's not asking for much.

There's plenty of parks and community center's in this city. It's NYC. There is always something here for everyone.

Their degenerate kids, stop covering for them and making excuses.

Honey Boo Boo and Kardashians are not at fault for anything, they just symbolize what American culture has become.

When you have kids, let them raise themselves and see how far they get. You should stop judging based on a standard that doesn't apply evenly across the board.

What the kid did was "wrong" but at the end of the day it doesn't matter. What he did has zero impact on society or the country at large.

If you want to talk about what he symbolizes, refer to my original statement.

Also the person you used is a woman. A female being raised by a single mother does not have the same life as a boy being raised without a father. Her mother also stressed education so it just proves how important parental direction is in the upbringing of teens.

Everybody is not going to do the right thing in life. There will always be bad people and good people.

I wasn't asking a question.

That was meant as a rhetorical statement.

I'm a male, my father left before I was born, and my mother, who was 19 at the time, left me with my grandparents shortly after I was born. My grandfather hated my existence, which are his own issues, and never said a word to me. My grandmother was old and didn't have it in her to raise another child. About 8 years old, my mother finally moved me in with her. Still no father, and she barely said a word to me, nor emphasized about education to me.

While I've had turmoil in my life, I never robbed anyone nor went around kicking cats for fun.

So robbing someone with a knife has no impact? Kicking a cat and posting it on World Star has no impact. Because other kids watching this on video won't get the same idea and repeat his actions?? How can you not see the perpetual cycle.

A young girl with no father figure has it easy compared to a boy with out a father? I can't believe you just said that. Do we really need to list all the strippers, prostitutes and porn stars that won't agree with you.

I understand that, but it doesn't mean we just ignore it and let it run rampant.
