In My Move to the Big Apple;
I want to be as close as possible
in order to get the Best Broadcast Reception. of Free OTA Television.
So; my Main Question is Exactly; How Safe of an area is East Village?
So far; East Village is the Best place I've found as far as Good OTA Reception goes.
This is What I have found as of so far:
You're choosing between South Dakota, Kentucky, and the East Village? What's your deal man. Let me know if you're a troll or not so we can skip the foreplay.

You will have to be more specific about the address in terms of which subway station you will be using and how far of a walk it will be.
Just the Closest Subway entrance; to the East Village; I don't really mind distance; I just want to know what to expect; in Miles; or Time; Walking to get there.
If you could please also; add what the price of a Hot Dog and Soda; is at one of them Sabrett Street Stands??? I'm guessing around the $8.50 mark.... Maybe; am I about right???

The walk to the subway could be 20 feet or a mile, depending on where you live. Many in the East Village need a bus to get to the subway. It is a particularly poorly served area of the City.
Knowing where transmission towers are located has less to do with the number of channels you can receive than does personal experience. Thus when I say you will certainly NOT get 69 channels I am speaking from personal experience. Count on a third of that number if you are VERY well situated, high up without too many encumbrances around you.
I doubt you could get 69 channels if you lived atop the Empire State Building with a "Tenna-Rotor."

East village is not a bad place, but is not like nothing happen there before. Usually is not that bad, but if you walk outside during midnight, I wouldn't consider the best place to be at.
The best free TV reception in the city is @ 432 Park Avenue. But you HAVE to live in the penthouse (cost ~80million).
Room service brings you hot dogs from the south of france and purified, distilled soda from the top of Mount Everest for "free". (It's included in the 20k monthly condo fee)
Best of all you don't have to take the subway! You can just zip line to ANYWHERE within the five boroughs for FREE! There's even zip lines that take you to Hoboken, Jersey City, Weekhawken and Union City!! The downside is you have to transfer at Penn Station. (Added benefit is you save ~$120 on the monthly metrocard)
JUST SOLVED ALL YOUR PROBLEMS IN ONE POST!!! NOW HIRE ME!!! GOING RATE FOR MY SERVICES IS $100k/month.

If you're looking for authentic NYC food, you're going to have to go to the Sbarro's in Times Square.
